I have a question....
How much do they consider to be one serving? The calories are 350/serving & the fat is 26/ serving!!! Is this supposed to be for if you eat the entire bowl they bring to your table or one spoonful of salad from that bowl? Anyone out there know? It just seems like a lot of cal/fat for one serving.
Thanks!

I believe they consider one small bowl (the one they give you) to be one serving. The dressing is just poured on there. Once in a great while I will go to Olive Garden before a race to carb load. I ALWAYS get the dressing on the side!!!!!! :noway:0

I think it's one bowl is a serving.
I know their dressing is ridiculous but it is so so good!0 -
lol it's probably a plate full. that dressing is so bad for you...0

Dressing on the side! I picked up a tip from Biggest Loser a few season ago. I dip my fork in the dressing and then load it up with salad. Way less dressing consumed and still great taste.0

They also have a light dressing if you ask for it0

according to THEIR website, YEP- that's the count for ONE serving- without dressing is 120 calories. Their dressing is "to die for" LITERALLY. The breadsticks are the shovels that dig the grave.:laugh:0

This is exactly how I do it at salad bars and other restaurants. At home I shake a tbsp of fat free with my salad so I get it spread around evenly.Dressing on the side! BTW here is a copy cat recipe for their dressing- anyone want to revise it and come up with an equally tasty, lower calorie version???

I always get the light dressing on the side. I forgo the cheese and pull the croutons off and the peppers (I don't like the peppers). I usually eat two big salads (the ones they drop at the table). I dip my fork before every bit and use about half of the light dressing given.

My husband can't tell the difference in the dressings light or regular.
Olive Garden has never messed me up weight wise the next day. So I am assuming it is right. I've gone to Olive Garden 6 times since June 1st ( a lot of celebrating).0 -
Thanks for the feed back!! I should've asked this before going, That darn salad made me go way over my daily calories :sad:0

This made me laugh!! Funny stuff :laugh:0 -
I was just looking that up too. That is a lot of calories for a small plate of salad. I am sure the portions vary as do the amount of dressing they put on but man. That's a lot of calories for salad!0

You can ask for light dressing and have it on the side! Still yummy but makes it where you're able to limit yourself on it! The breadsticks are my weakness :-O0
