When i started trying to lose weight i was 214lbs. I started mfp when i was 201lbs and dropped down to my goal weight of 194lbs. I stopped weighing at that time and just used the mirror. I felt i was getting leaner and more muscular. Its been several weeks since i weighed and when i got on the scale i was right back at 200lbs. I feel like my waist is smaller and tighter. I checked my measurement and its 2.5 inches smaller! Anybody have an explanation?

Sounds like you have started building some muscle after your weight loss. I would not worry so much about the number on the scale. Great example of why measurements & progress pictures are far more important than the weight. Way to go!!!1

It is possible you added some muscle, but unless you're really training hard, at 38 years old, probably not a lot. My guess, you're carrying a little water, which will happen when you're lifting.
