Hey all does anyone know if there's a way to adjust settings for breast feeding mamas??

Also, any other mamas out there looking for some mutual support and motivation, add me :)

I'm not a momma yet, some day I hope. However, other moms have said that in the food diary you can type in breast feeding and it will give you an option for negative calorie adjustments. Best of luck!!

Hmm okay thanks! I can't seem to get that working on mine but I'll keep trying to figure it out :)

I always just logged it as a 1 minute custom exercise for the amount of calories I wanted 'credit' for.

I'm only nursing once a day now (I have a 19 month old toddler, not really a baby anymore LOL) but you can add me if you like. Since he's barely getting more than drops I don't bother counting nursing as an extra deficit. I figure it just cancels out any logging inaccuracies I might see otherwise.

Yep, usually it's an extra 300-500 calories/day for breastfeeding

I just added 300 calories to my daily calorie goal. My boy is 11 months and he eats food and breast feeds.

I enter it in as cardiovascular exercise and add the calories I want. I am working toward weaning, but because I am nursing twins I am still adding in quite a few calories. I feel awful if I don't ( dizzy, light headed, etc).

Thanks mamas.. My breastfeeding babe just turned 2months, so no weaning anytime soon.. I did find if you type breastfeeding into your food diary that options come up.. But for now I've decided to listen to my body- I'm following mfp guidelines as they are and if I get s headache or anything I'll eat more... But for now my milk supply has actually increased because of all the water and healthy foods!
