OK people you have done a great job all week and I bet some of you can really feel it.
Today's "challenge" is to do stretches and try to get rid of all that built up tension from so many challenges
Doing stretches helps to relieve tension both mentally and physically, improves flexibility and just plain makes you feel good!
Some of you may want to try some Yoga, I hear it's relaxing as well.
Report back when you are done and let us know what you did so we can some great ideas for stretching.
Thanks to Crystal for the following info.
I found some stretches at http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/cybertherapist/stretching/allstretches.php

Great idea!!! Thanks so much. I have been trying to find a reason to do my yoga dvd instead of cardio and strength training, so the Sunday Challenge gives me a reason!
Have an awesome sunday and I will do my best to report back and tell you how I did!0 -
Awesome suggestion! Stretching is really great. I have a personally developed stretching routine that I've been doing twice a day (when I get up in the morning and before I go to bed at night) for nearly every day for the past 13 years! It has evolved a bit over time -- when I discover a new stretch I add it in. So far I have taken stretches from ballet, martial arts, yoga and various others.
Stretching helps to keep me limber and flexible, reduces stress, relieves jaw aches, reduces headaches and other muscle aches... I can't stand to go without it!0 -
Thanks for the link! This is the stretch that cured my chronic jaw aches: http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/cybertherapist/stretching/neck_flexion_stretch.php0

great link to those stretches - thank you.
I did Race For Life yesterday - so I'm not going to be doing anything too strenuous today even though I'm not full of aches and pains - stretches will do me just fine! Good call!0 -
Feeling rubbish today so bumping this to make me do these in a while.
Thanks0 -
This one, I got!
Three sunrise salutations, and I've been trying to extend my plank with leg raises.
Then just a few extra leg stretches from there for hamstrings and quads.
Thanks again for the challenges!0 -
I am in! I have to do my jog/walk today, so stretching will be great for afterwards!
I will do the stretches at http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/cybertherapist/stretching/allstretches.php
and also want to try some yoga too.
Will post back how it all worked out! Thank you so much Charger!!!0 -
Done!
I did the stretches from the website and 20 minutes of Bikram Yoga. I think the yoga did me in...I am sweating more from that then my jog!!!0 -
Whoo Hoo! I took your challenge and I did it! Success. Dusted off that yoga cd and actually did it!
Fantastic! Thanks so much for the challenge.. the motivation... Was fantastic to stretch out all those muscles that I work so hard on during the week...
I will keep the dust off of the yoga cd now.
THANK YOU!!!!0
