Rock Climbers

Looking to add some fellow rock climbers. My main goal to lose this weight is to break past this 5.11a-b/V6-7 plateau I've been hovering at for a few years now. I have a Red River Gorge trip I'd like to be in top shape for this November.

Hey, I climb. I joined looking to lose some 10lbs and get stronger to break past my own plateau (more in the v5/5.11) range though.
It'd be great to exchange some information. I've zeroed in on a couple of specific issues to work on: weak lats for lock-offs; weak shoulders for mantling. Anything specific that you're working on?0 -
You're much better than me. 5.8s, a few 5.10 friction routes.

I'm getting back into climbing after having my baby:-) I used to climb 10c sport and was able to onsite most V3s. Right now, I'm working on some V2s and am working on regaining my finger strength.0

One of the worst moments of my life was when my husband told me he'd been invited on a trip to red river gorge...and then he said it was guys only. We don't climb much anymore being stuck in the weeds of young children but we did rock, ice, snow and alpine when we were young and free and we hope to get back at it in a few years. Our oldest can climb gym v1 (he just turned 5) so soon...right?0

I've been back to climbing for about 6 months now, after a 6-month forced break following a broken foot - I fell off of a top-out and landed right on my heel.
It was a bit frustrating coming back, knowing how to move but not having the strength to hold on. But that actually forced me to work on technique and efficiency. I think I'm pretty close to pre-accident strength now, and might have slightly better technique.
I take my 3 year old to the gym here and there. He'll go up maybe 5 feet on a jug haul and then swing off on the top rope. Climbing is more the means to and end - swinging.0 -
