Hey I am 5'2 and 167lbs I am trying to reach 140lbs. This is the heaviest I have ever weighed. I have a lot of problem areas such as my face being chubby, wide thighs, big behind, chubby arms, and a belly. I am unhappy with myself and I lost alot of weight before in high school. I lost 30 lbs in high school in two months and I was pretty dedicated. Now it's harder because I am grown and don't exactly have a treadmill close by(I had a treadmill in my garage) going to the gym is hard because I feel like I do not know what I am doing. I am just looking for motivation. I was around 155 at this time last year but was more fit. I was 133 a year before. That was from strenous work, stress, and i was in a bad relationship. This year I got into another relationship, without all the strenous work, but I was stress eating. I am no longer in a relationship with the guy I want but I dont want to eat my feelings lol . I want to change myself. And it's going to take awhile and it won't be easy but this is more for self control and finding myself. Learning to love myself and what I am going to become. And that is a better person on the inside and outside.

You sound a lot like I feel for workouts. I know I won't make the time to go to a gym, I don't have equipment at home. I found out about "body weight workouts" and that's what I've been doing. I had to buy a single dumbbell for my entire bit of equipment so far. And believe me, those workouts are *not* easy.

However, they focus on strength training, which I've come to understand isn't enough for weight loss. Because of that, I also ride my bike around the block (I'm at 2 miles now!) every day, and use the food logging from MFP to help me track my calorie intake. It's working so far, but I've only been on the "diet" for 2 weeks now. Working on making it more of a habit than it is.

Stick with it, and good luck! And if you like, feel free to add me as a friend. I'll cheer on whatever I can!

There are websites that help you find a workout program to help you reach your goals. These websites also demonstrate how to properly use gym equipment. Bodybuilding.com is one of the sites and you can also use youtube. Good luck
