So July 12th of this year I finally had enough of the steady upwards climb in my weight and a friend showed me the myfitnesspal app.

I'm 46 and in terrible shape starting to become the cartoonish 'fat biker' that everyone thinks of.

I entered my info and chose 1 pound a week to lose plus entered my activity level at the nearly zero level. so far it is working for me.

I am down 30 pounds now and am walking a lot. Well a lot for me considering I was doing close to zero before. Between 10K to 25k steps a day depending on how busy work is and also going to the gym or using a home treadmill for 30 minutes on 4-5 days a week. Today I also started lifting weights again.

Don't really have any supportive buddies helping to keep me on track, just all self motivated so far.

I ride more than I drive. Rain, sun and I have even ridden in a snowstorm. Been riding bikes since I was 16, I'm 46 now. Have a few Harley's but mostly ride a '80 Wideglide Shovelhead. Also building an '81 FLH. I put about 20K kms on a year between them all.

Thanks! I'm sorta in shock that I am finding it this easy to stick with it.
