Kicking Old Habits to Lose over 80lb

Hello! So I have tried this before a dozen times and failed because of a dozen internal reasons. A few months ago I started making small changes and have actually stuck to them. A few weeks ago I decided to make a huge change. I decided it was time to quit smoking for real. Smoking has been one of the biggest obstacles for me to lose weight in the past. I always start off strong with a diet and exercise plan but give up because I physically can't breathe. Every time I give up I slump into guilt and self destructive eating behaviors and gain 10 lbs. The first time I said I wanted to work on my weight I was only 140 lbs (age 15). Now I am 27 and weigh 255ish. I did a good year of control and diet and lost 26 lbs about 3 years ago. My old account in here is what I attribute that success to. I gave up when I got my divorce and gained it all back. So yeah, it's a pretty typical story I have. I'm just looking for friends and support again to get through this with. I want to succeed this time. I want to stay off the cigarettes so I can keep breathing better (seriously after the first 5 days it was crazy how much better I could breath) and actually exercise and get healthy again! Add me if you are game for mutual support and encouragement!

I'm inspired by your honesty! I was in a similar spot, thinking I needed to lose weight in high school when I was 130 and have been gaining and gaining ever since. We can do this together!0

I know how hard it is to quit cigs. I did it myself 10 years ago. It was one of the hardest things I ever did & I never thought the cravings would go away. Until poof, they did. I find it admirable that you are trying to lose weight & quit cigs.0
