Isopure - why so gross?

I recently tried a bottle of Isopure (glass bottle, purple drink) and couldn't finish it for the life of me. The taste was okay, but the mouth feel was horrible - instantly made my mouth dry and sticky at the same time. Is this normal or was the stuff expired?

    I've had it as well. It's very dry.

    I haven't had that, but I tried their unflavored whey protein isolate powder & it was the worst. It smelled sooo bad & tasted awful. It was very clumpy. It was a huge waste of $40. I was really surprised at how bad it was for such a well known brand. I also checked the tub to see if it was expired. It wasn't. Just gross.
