I've just started a program through my doctor which focuses on volumetric eating and I'm really excited about it. I'm also going to be exercising 5 days per week. My goal this week is higher quality foods and more water.

It's a good way to learn which foods you find filling. Make sure to include enough fat though - it is calorie dense but you need it for health and satiety. Ultimately losing weight is going to come down to eating fewer calories than you use for energy but volumetrics is not a bad way to get there for some people. Good luck! This is an exciting journey!

I read the book a long time ago and learned a lot about calorie density and how to make better choices. I still use the principles I learned from it. And in fact I'm going out today to get me a large container of low cal and fat yogurt to add my Cheerios to, because it is very filling, very tasty and a nice change from the usual high protein breakfast I usually have which fuels me up and sends me off satisfied but boring after a while! @Sara1791 Yes fat and protein are so important to satiety and healthy eating and this is an exciting journey!!!
