My bf makes me a vegan cheese cake out of tofu. Much lower calorie with very little fat. Red velvet, the good kind, is high calorie and should always be high calorie.

I read in Atheno's facebook site you can actually make cheese cake with greek yogurt, I'm a pastry chef, but I have never tried making it with yogurt, I did try once with low fat philly cheese, and it came out really good.

I can give you the recipe if you want and some tips to make it as light as possible.

    :)

I agree with Tofu...it's amazing how that stuff can take on any flavor! I have an awesome Tofu Chocolate Mousse recipe (that people have no clue is tofu and they eat it up!), so I'm certain it would be great in cheesecake too!

I'm pretty sure skinnytaste.com has recipes for low-cal versions of both cheesecake and red-velvet. Her stuff is always tasty! I've made the strawberry cheesecake bars with greek yogurt and they were super delicious.
