Not lost any weight in a week?

So about 3 weeks ago I've turned my diet around drastically. I went from eating 4 sharing packets of crisps, two sharing bars of chocolate and muffins throughout the day and no exercise at all to eating fruit, veg, porridge etc, no snacking, no cheat days (generally because i don't feel I want/need a cheat day). Last weeks weigh in, I'd lost 7 pounds in a week... Bare in mind I'm not expecting this to happen every week (must have been just the drastic change in diet) but I've been very good, eating super clean and going out for 2 long dog walks a day...I've not lost anything in a week, at all.. It's a bit disheartening and I just can't figure out how I've not lost a single pound
If anyone can offer suggestions as to why this has happened, or what I can do, I'd appreciate it! X

It's never linear. Just keep eating in a deficit and the weight will continue to drop when it wants to. If you get stuck for two or three weeks that's when you worry. For me losing a pound a week sometimes I lose nothing, then the following week 2-lbs drop off, etc.2

Its not enough time to worry.. You lose some weeks and there will be other weeks when you do not. Last week you lost 7 pounds and I predict that most of this was water weight and fluctuations on the scale. You cannot simply lose 7 pounds of fat in one week..
So, weight loss IS NOT linear. The scale is gonna fluctuate. Make sure you never under eat your calories, perhaps trend your weight as well. Things to look for carb intake, sodium, hydration and lack there of, muscle repair/recovery, hormones and yes your monthly cycle are all gonna show on the scale in some form or another.
Use the body weight scale as a tool. It can lie to you and often. Stay the course.. Keep doing what you are doing and yes be patient.

Weight loss isn't linear
And I'd start tracking by calories and weight0 -
I have experienced that big drop the first week or two and then nothing, or worse yet a very disheartening gain. In fact I've read that this is common, perhaps even typical. Basically a good portion of that 7lb loss was water, and your body is retaining more now. Maybe you are exercising more, maybe you increased your carbs, or maybe this is some kind of as yet unidentified reaction to limiting calories.
Just relax and know that the math works: calories out minus calories in, divided by 3500 = loss in pounds, regardless of what the scales say.0 -
I say that fat has an attitude....just keep working at it

It's going to have its ups and downs. Don't worry about a weeks up or no down. Look at the trend over several weeks or months.0
