Congratulations on achieving your goals!
I like to lift heavy, swim, and practice gymnastics.
For these three, I just try to do as well or better than I did the last time. I wanted to be able to best my teenage bench press of 90lbs and worked at for a while. I'm up to 150lbs.
To keep my body guessing, I throw in a little random activities to keep things fun:

You have to look up on the internet for this stuff in your city and surrounding suburbs. They just opened an indoor rock climbing thing in the burbs I'm looking to try.0

Okay but what's that type of a gym, even called lol? I'd like to take, a pole dancing class but there isn't any, in my area.0 -

You could look up trapeeze, aerial, circus arts, gymanstics or indoor trampoline. They can tell you what equipment and support/instruction/classes they offer.0 -
What is your goal strategy?
I've heard of baby steps, massive action, SMART, etc.
I have an easy time progressing on some goals, like fitness, and a harder time on others, like calorie counting.

Advice: either make friends with a partner (who the gym will allow to belay you) or use the auto-belay machine. Get 20+ feet up off the ground, then look down. Let go. If you have a human partner, yell "falling!" first, even tell them your plan before you leave the ground. Then, climb the wall again and top out at the anchor. You'd think the hard part about climbing is physical, like having enough strength and stamina, but it's all mental, like facing your fears and then pressing on. Even if you don't think you're afraid of heights, the reptile part of your brain will choke up, but you're still in control, and it's an amazing feeling to show yourself you're stronger than what you're made of.1 -

Thanks for the tip. What does belay and auto-belay mean?
I am more concerned if I'd be able to climb it - it looks like cardio/weightlifting combined. But what YOU are doing in the photo, looks like both a physical and facing your fears workout. I'm not even entertaining the thought of outdoor climbing at this point!
Congratulations!1 -
Auto-belay is kind of like a seat belt. You wear a harness around your waist, and clip into the auto-belay. As you go up, it pulls the "belt" so the line is always taut. If you fall, it catches you immediately, and then lowers you slowly and safely to the ground. It's been a while since I've used one and I can't remember if they let you down-climb or not, I think once you get to the top, the only way back down is to let go.
Most people will be bouldering which is climbing without a rope. That's a lot of fun too, and it's a challenge to decipher the sequence of moves that will get you to to top. But since there's only a padded floor for protection, you can't go up as high, so you don't get the mental thing quite as much.0 -

In that photo, it looks like you are hanging on by your finger. You mountain climbers are crazy strong.2
