Hey, things happen sometimes! Post up your stories, let's see if we can use 'em for motivation!

I once neglected to realize that my gym pants had gotten a bit too big on me...they fell down at the gym as I locked out a deadlift (thank God I had shorts on underneath them).
Embarrassment is temporary, PR's are forever.

At my local dog park, a dog jumped on me from behind and pulled my too loose skirt down to my knees in front of God and everyone. This skirt is now at the Salvation Army. I had pretty undies on, however, my mama was right about wearing nice undies when leaving the house! LOL2

So my dad got remarried to a serial drinker, smoker, diabetic, multiple heart attack survivor...quite a prize. I don't see that side of the family often (because it causes emotional hurt, which causes overeating...so, no). Now, to the funny bit of this story...
I was out at my dad's birthday (God, what a dive) and the stepmonster commented on my weight loss. (I'd lost something like 25 lbs since last seeing her.) She asked me if I'd tried going low-carb. Check out my diary--250+g of carbs a day is pretty standard. I told her no, though I limited starches and carbs that metabolized quickly/had a high glycemic index because they left me feeling hungry. Somehow, this conversation took a nutritional turn, and I discovered that my stepmonster had *no idea* that potatoes were starches, and that starches were *carbs*.
I asked her multiple times in order to be sure. Then I had what I consider a "lightbulb" moment. Ignorance is far more dangerous than anything else when it comes to weight loss. I finally dropped this conversation when asked (seriously), "Is steak a carb?"

I don't know if it's the single funniest thing that's happened, but...
One time when we were out in public, Mrs Jruzer was looking for me but didn't recognize me because my face had changed so much.3
