Fellow Extra-Petite Gals, Please show me your 5'0" Success Pictures

Hello Lovelies,
I have unfortunately gained a butt load of weight and find myself around 170lbs which is quite substantial on my 5'0" frame. Nothing gives me more motivation than seeing success stories, particularly those from fellow shorties. I would love to see some "after pictures" labeling your current weight and how you all reached your goal.
My personal goal weight is 110-115lbs.

Hey I am 5' as well. I am currently at 218 but started at 230. My goal is to first get down to 130 and then ultimate goal would be 100-115. I would love to see photos of people around my height who lost the weight.3

Hi! I am 5 foot even!0

I'm 5' and starting at 163. Sadly I have no progress to show yet, though Bumping to check out later.0

I suppose it's hard to get success stories with such a narrow margin.
I have used myfitnesspal.com which is helpful but still shows fairly minimal results.

I am 4'11" Started at 150 lbs now at 100 lbs. Will post pictures when I get home. Or you can see profile pics.11

I'm 5'.05"
I've gone from the 220's to low 130's. My goal is 125, but I think once I hit that I may go lower.
I don't have pics yet to share, but I wanted to respond to let you know it can be done!8 -
I'm just 5'1. Hope that is ok.
I started at 130- it doesn't sound as bad as it looked. I'm an apple so all the weight is front and centre.
I have been maintaining at a range of 100-105 for over 6 years.
Basically I counted my calories, that is all one needs to do to lose the weight.
My fitness level was non existent.
I went from no exercise to Aqua fit.
Then I did a lot of walking, 5 &10km races, and Pilates/body sculpt classes- including belly dancing.
These past 3 years I have done more straight strength training, following 3 different programmes.swimming, and rowing on a machine.
I don't count calories anymore.
Me at 130 and 105.
Maintenance 100-105lbs
Same weight, 100-105, but 3 years difference and progressively upping my weight lifting. I loved my tummy on the left and never realised doing a recomp had made a difference until I took the pic, right, on my birthday in August.
Cheers, h.67 -

I'm 4' 11", but I give myself the extra inch! My highest weight was 125 lbs. and I felt like total crap. Dropped a bunch of weight and hip 98 lbs. as a low (cardio + extreme calorie deficit) where I looked far too thin and frail. Discovered heavy lifting, eat around 1,400-1,600 calories a day and now I'm a happy, healthy 115 lbs. I'm about to go into a bulk to try and build this booty up a little bit more, but at most I'll be consuming 1,600-1,700 x day. Not doing a massive bulk like some people do because all that extra weight on a tiny frame is harder to lose.6

Dear lord I meant I have used *****mybodygallery to find pictures. Not myfitnesspal. I guess I was tired that day1

You look amazing! 130lbs can be too much on a short gal, especially an apple.I'm a pear-shape shape myself but I've been 130 and I was still a bit too chubby.
I can't even imagine getting down to 106 (the lightest I've ever been was 125) but it looks great on you!2 -

Haha! 125 lbs is the lowest I've ever been. I felt good (better than 170, I'll tell you that) but I still wasn't where I wanted to be. I looked at your pictures and 115 looks amazing on you! Weightlifting really does seem to make all the difference.0 -

I'm 4'11, currently 120lbs, I've also been 98lbs and looked very thin and frail - gained to like 125lbs, and over the last 2 months have been weight training 4 x a week. My diet is also about 1,400 - 1,600 cals a day, we are like twins (only you're the 'after' version of me, haha!)
You look awesome, it's such good inspiration to see where I can be if I stick to this, as I don't see many posts about people my height and weight.2 -

Frankie, I just added you! We're so close in stats and body type seems similar. Would love to be MFP friends and keep each other accountable since our goals are so similar. Keep up the hard work! It pays off! You already passed the hardest part - getting started. It's all uphill from here!3 -

I'm so pleased to have found someone with similar stats to me, haha! So hard to be motivated when everyone seems to be 5ft 8lb and has all the calories to play with. Yep, the gym is now a routine part of my life so there's no way I'm turning back now1 -
Hi everyone! Fellow shortie here 5'1".
SW 192-195 lbs
CW 134 lbs
GW 125 (maybe, it varies)
Before 2013 I never really worked out consistently and my eating was atrocious. My diet has evolved over the years through trial and error and think I have finally found my "thing". I eat HFLC. It's not for everyone but clicks with me.
As far as exercise: Currently, I do free weights with SL 5x5 and a little cardio mixed in (very little). I began with mostly cardio when I started my journey years ago and only began implementing heavy lifting faithfully in March 2016. The changes to my body have been more than I ever thought possible!
The below picture is around 195lbs in 2013:
The below are from today 134lbs:
You can do it and it is so worth it! I applaud you for taking the first step!

@jasperdog52554
Thank you! The "booty" was definitely something I have always had but never wanted. I was losing lots of inches and pant sizes after implementing lifting. For the 1st time in my life, I began to worry I would lose it.
But...at my last assessment I had added a quarter inch back even though I had went down a pant size. LOL.
As a side note: The reduction in the appearance of my cellulite has been a nice bonus!4 -
I think weight lifting works best for us shorties! When we aim to loose ten to fiifeen lbs it could be 10 percent of our entire body mass so building muscle does the most good and we seem to see the the greatest benefit. I have lost 26 lbs from 162 with a goal of 120. I am currently at 136.

I am 5'0" tall, 63 years old. Don't have a photo yet, but wanted to chime in. I started this program 2 weeks ago, and have lost 5 lbs. Started at 141, now at 136...want to be around 110 or so. I cannot do exercise, as it will flare my fibromyalgia, which would make me go backwards. I committed to do 10 min. of mild stretch exercises twice a week. Calorie goal per day: 1200. Quickly discovered that fresh fruit was exceeding my daily sugar allowance. I'm happy that I can see the breakdown of fats, carbs, sugar, etc., it really helps me wisely choose my food. And I can still have a vodka/diet tonic.3

Another shortie here! 4'11' and currently at 125. Have lost and gained repeatedly. I'm now on the upside again. So back to trying to get back to where I was in 2015 and 2013, I would be happy with 112ish and ecstatic at 108 but that's not very realistic for me. At 51 I would be happy to see the 112.
My profile pic was taken Saturday at the Spartan Beast in Sun Peaks BC, I earned that coveted Spartan Trifecta!2 -
Hi there. I am 5'1" and here are my progress pictures to date. Still have about 50+ pounds to lose and will then reevaluate.

I started at 213lbs about 5 months post partum. I'm currently sitting around 160 lbs 2.5 years post partum. I'm 5 feet tall. It's been a battle for sure. I do a lot of weight training and HIIT. Goal weight is 125ish.10 -
I am 4'11" and you can see my pictures on the Success Story thread posted today Obese to Triathlete2
