Do refeed days still work if you're down to the last 10 lbs?

Hi all! I'm currently at ~130 and I'm trying to get down to ~122 by the end of November. These last pounds have been going much slower than the previous ones which is to be expected, but I was wondering if refeed days are still necessary/beneficial for the last 10 lbs? Or will they just slow things down even more?

If you wipe off your deficit, nope.

Make sure your logging is really tight, because the closer you are to your goal weight, the less wiggle room you have for any inaccuracies. If refeeds put you in a calorie excess, then they definitely will hinder your ability to continue losing the rest of the weight.

Periods of maintenance help a lot when you're down to the last 10 pounds, but your logging needs to be tight. They are great for replenishing depleted hormone levels. However, if you refeed and exceed your calorie deficit, you'll gain.

    Refeed is a myth.

Yes that is what I was thinking. Do you think eating at maintenence about once every 1.5 weeks would be optimal?

Refeed (or cheat days) can kill a deficit in a minute. At this stage, you should have your goal set to lose .5 pounds a week, which should leave you plenty satisfied.
