I would love advise and tips on how to calculate calories when I'm not sure of the consumption? Example...Couple of my friends and I get together for wine/cheese/dessert nights and I try my best to stay within moderation but I REALLY want to enjoy the night and NOT spend the evening calculating, weighing, measuring, etc.

SOOO...what do you guys suggest? Do you give yourself a "free" night or on occasions like July 4th?... how do you enjoy the bbq w/o the stress?

Thanks so much for any help!

If I know beforehand where I am going I'll try and get a look at the menu and plan what I'm going to have before I get there. Sometimes this is not possible so I will eat a little less during the day and exercise more so that I have extra cals so even if I do go over it won't be so bad.
But the main thing is to ENJOY yourself and not stress about being a couple of hundred over on one day

You can always eat something healthy before hand so you're not as inclined to eat as much as you usually would. If you're going out to dinner you know the general rule, only eat half and save the rest for later....or just dont eat it at all!

I do love to have days off though when I'm enjoying myself and I think thats a must! No one wants to always worry about what they are eating!

Yes, I'd have a high protein salad, and I'd do a big work-out before. Beyond that, just enjoy yourself.
