Eating disorders

Eating disorders are so freakin horrible , I've suffered from binge eating disorder, anorexia and finally bulimia too . I hope one day I'll be able to recover completely and love myself . I am the thinnest I've ever been since I was 12 right now but I still hate my body

You are so strong for being able to recognize what's going on! Keep challenging those negative thoughts :)

You're right, eating disorders are terrible. They strip you of all control and leave you second-guessing yourself in all kinds of ways. I've been there too and understand the hatred you have towards your body. Honestly, after three years of recovery, I still hate mine too. And while each day I become stronger, I know that my relationship with my body, food, and control will always be a tightrope walk. It never goes away, but it does get better. You have so many people on this site who can relate, me included, and just remember that you're not alone.

Always here if you need support. I'll send you a friend request. :)

My goal weight at 54 years old, which is in the middle of the healthy bmi range for my height, is the same as I weighed at 11. For OP to be thinner, perhaps even weigh less, than you did at 12 concerns me greatly. Are you in the care of a ED specialist physician?

If you only knew how much our bodies love us and how hard they work to keep us alive everyday they love us unconditionally.

Do you have a treatment team?
  • Hope you get better. Each and everyone of us goes threw some type of problem that has noting to do with your wheight situation. But their are all kinds of issues that could cause eating disorders. You need to focus primaraly on what is causing your eating disorder and try to get assistance or find out ways of preventing this situation from happening. But the best advice I could give you is not to give up on yourself in trying to betting your situation.

I can't agree more with you, Michael. It's amazing what our bodies are capable of.
