Not new to MyfitnessPal but more determined than what I have been in the past, to use it to it's fullest capabilities to assist me in my weight loss journey. Looking for ideas.

Is your thyroid prescription at the right dosage for you? I thought it would be challenging, but I'm losing weight very easily. Easily enough I'm considering increasing how many calories I have each day a little. If your medicine (Synthorid or whatever you take) is set at the right level, you should be OK, but if you weigh everything so you know how many calories you're having and you don't lose weight, it would be worth getting your thyroid level checked by your doctor to see if your medicine should be changed or the dosage should be increased.2

I'm in a similar boat (not sure if perimenopausal yet but might be), and although I've been losing quite slowly, it is going down (roughly 5 lbs month). I think the key for those of us with thyroid conditions is consistency and lots and lots of patience. And, as @Golbat says, making sure your meds are at the right dosage.1

I am firmly in menopause and I don't have a thyroid gland. But my medication is very well regulated so, technically, I am not hypothyroid. I've been this way for about 20 plus years and the thyroid issues never causes weight loss problems (as long as I am treated well).
As for perimenopause--I've had erratic periods for the last 3 years. It's only been in the last year where it went down to two times a year that I have struggled with weight loss.1 -
Hypothyroid and haven't had a period in over 2 years. Lost 20 lbs in about 20 weeks this year. Diligence was most important for me. Drink a lot of water, prioritize what you need to do to reach your goal. Stay busy and exercise even when you don't feel like it. MFP works. It's all about maintaining a calorie deficit.1

Hypothyroid (Hashimotos) and possibly menopausal (?) I won't have the definitive sign (missing period) as I had a partial hysterectomy when I was 32.
It's taken almost a year to regulate my meds, but my weight loss is now steadily moving in the right direction.1 -
My Synthroid dosage is accurate at this time, I go every 6-months and have my blood work done; I stay on stop of that, LOL. I have recently added more activity to my schedule so I have faith this will help with my weigh loss. Thank you all for your responses.1
