Pregnancy weight gain

Can anyone give me some tips on this? I was on a no car no sugar diet before I found out I was pregnant, and almost immediately went back to carbs and sugar. I have gained 10-12 lbs and I'm 11 weeks! I have got to get this under control lol.

    Hiya, I know how you're feeling, found out gained 12lb in the first 12 weeks when I went for my first scan!
    I've since evened out a bit and at my 16 week appointment was 3lb lighter than at 12 weeks, a lot will be due to water weight if you listen to my midwife...
    I'm also not weighing outside appointments as I don't think it's necessary.
    I think it's important not to stress too much, but what I'm doing is just tracking basic calories to make sure I'm not over eating and reviewing my diary once a week to make sure I'm eating the right things / work out what I need to cut down on. I'm quite lucky at the moment as been mainly craving spinach, broccoli and crispy seaweed! Though sweet, fatty, carby foods have definitely snuck in this week.
