Hello MFP!
My name is Steph. I'm 2 months postpartum and breastfeeding. Love my new little one. Hate the lbs that came with him. Anyone have any good suggestions to help me get back to myself again? I can't cut out carbs because it dips my supply. Any help would be great!

I'm in the situation! I'm 4 months PP and dealing with 20 extra lbs. I've been told not to limit my calories too much as it will lessen your supply. Right now I've set myself at 1800 calories per day give or take. So far my supply seems like it's ok. I work out 4-5 per week and eat well. Even if I go over my daily calorie as long as it's good food I don't stress too much. I've lost 1.5 lbs in 2 weeks. Feel free to add me!

If you're breastfeeding exclusively, you're burning an extra 500 calories a day, so you have that to work with. What works for me personally irt weight loss is to add protein, because it makes me much less hungry, but you might have to tweak your diet a bit here and there and find what works for you. Get a scale and weigh your food, and count everything. Try to get sleep when you can. Nap with the baby if you're able, if you aren't getting enough sleep at night. Congratulations!
