hello. apple watch 2 tracks exercise either run or indoor cycle but then no steps

Please help. I use myfitness pal with iphone 6 and apple watch 2.,used to sync well when using phone, between run and extra walking etc. Now tracks a run or indoor cycle but no step tracking what ever I seem to turn on? getting frustrated with the software as the watch is tracking acurately?

    What app are you expecting to see the steps in? Does. Show them in the health kit app?
