Exrcise and Acne

Obviously most of us sweat when we workout. I sweat a lot and lately I have been getting some acne act up afterwards and it lasts a few days.

Does anyone else have this issue and if so what do some of you do to prevent acne and/or treat acne from workout sweat?

    Definitely wash your face after. I would also check your diet. If you are working out more, you might be upping your calories. If you are upping your calories with greasy food, sugar or dairy (or something else, everyone is different), it might be your diet and not your work out. Not sure if you are using protein shakes or something like gatorade. It might be that.

    Wash your face before AND after working out, if possible and don't touch your face while working out.

    If you do those things and still have problems, then it could be diet related as @aliem noted.

    If you shower right after you work out, try using a cleanser or scrub with salicylic acid. There are many, I like Aveeno.

    I have bacne but it's only where my sport bra is.... I shower immediately after my workout. I like to use the cetaphil anti bacterial soap and make sure I have an exfoliating scrub with me. It's working so far for my bacne and occasional face pimples.
