I have been part of MFP for 8 years. I was able to drop 25 pounds and felt great. After turning 50, I was diagnosed with adult onset asthma. It was severe and prednisone and other meds did a number on my weight. I recently underwent bronchial thermoplasty, where in 3 procedures spaced 3 weeks apart, they did 251 total activations to open spaces in my airways. The goal is to reduce medication strength and some stop all together. I now have 40 extra pounds and I am ready to begin again. I'll have to start out slowly but I know I can do it. Any and all moral support is greatly appreciated.

good on you. Just keep up the positive attitude and sensible plan and you will do it. As you get fitter you will also feel better and your asthma should also improve which is something to strive towards. I'm soon turning 60 and it is definitely harder as you get older but consistency is the key - keep your goal in mind0
