Has anyone taken Celebrex? I am currently taking it for a knee injury. I have noticed that since I have been taking it, I am SO fatigued. All the time. I could sleep 24/7, well if I could. Has anyone else experienced this side effect?

I just looked up Celebrex and there are many possible side effects. Excessive tiredness was one of them and said to contact your doctor.

I took it several years ago for a neck injury and I don't remember being tired. I did have weird dreams when I took it though.

I take it all the time - I think your fatigue is caused by your lack of exercise and perhaps food choices. You always said you feel better when active and eating right...

Thank you, I did see that online as well and did call and talk to the nurse. Really, all she will tell me is to wait until my appointment on Wednesday. I did not have this excessive fatigue before I started taking it. I realize that everyone has different side effects to different medications. I was just hoping that other people had the same experience.

My daughter has been taking it for a month for her Costochondritis, and She has been sleeping alot, I thought maybe she was just staying up too late but maybe its from the meds... Because she did start sleeping alot about the same time she started taking it.

Jamie, I thought it might be from the pain med (Tramadol) but I took a break from taking it to test my theory and I'm just as tired as I was.

I actually refused to take it because it had too many side effects that just scared me.

I do take Celebrex everyday. I thought it was more to manage flexibility and stiffness from osteoarthritis. I've not heard of it being prescribed for injuries. I doubt that it would do much for the injury itself. Perhaps the anti-inflammatory effect would have some benefit but I really would question it as a "treatment" for a knee injury. Maybe in conjunction with PT or other treatment (surgery or steriod shots). Call your doctor, girl. I take mine at night and can't really tell if it makes me tired or not. I've been on it a long time so maybe I switched it to night time because it was making me drowsy. Sorry, I can't remember. Try taking it at bedtime. Best, Cheryl

I stopped taking Celebrex earlier this week and I'm SO much more energized. Guess that answered my question!
