Need support... Want to feel confident about my appearance and more healthy... Fighting diabetes

Hello I'm Lisa. All my life I have fought with my weight. I was picked on as a kid and have never built my self-esteem and have always been self conscious. I want to feel strong and I want to feel good about the way I look and build my self-esteem. I don't have really any support because I don't have any family or friends where I'm at. Just would like to get to know some ppl that are dealing with the same struggles.

Do you have any gyms in your area that cater to women and offer group fitness classes? That would be a great way to meet people who also have common interests. Good luck, you can do it!

    Hi Lisa,
I also was picked on as a kid for my weight, I used that as fuel and motivation to start working out initially before getting into law enforcement. I got into great shape before going to the academy and now years on the job has done a toll on my eating habits and my weight has come back up. So I have found myself back in the same predicament as when I was younger as image is important in law enforcement form both the public and within. Guy's are very critical about overweight or out of shape officers.

Focus on your fitness and diet goals, as you make progress the self esteem will follow as you see results!

We're all in the same boat! Feel free to add me, I'm looking to build my network up on here as well to have a group that keeps each other accountable!

Add me! I am presently fighting to avoid getting on preventative meds to avoid diabetes. I had my 3 Month check up this past week and they basically told me to shape up in losing fat and weight, or else I need to see a doctor to go on meds. Im only 29 for crying out loud! I'm actually trying to totally change my eating habits and took a new approach to my gym exercise based on my trainer's advice. So add me,let's be accountability buddies!
