I just ate 1/2 a large pizza and I feel like ****.

I was totally conscious when I ordered it that it was the wrong thing to do, etc . . . not in line with my goals . . .

Now I am upset with myself . . . the past two weeks have been bad and now I'm starting this one off poorly, ugh!r

:(

Thanks for listening . . .

Meh, I've done that before. I do it every time I order pizza, actually. I can't seem to stop at one slice, or even two. Hasn't stopped me from reaching my goals, and it doesn't have to stop you.

It happened. It's over with. Did you enjoy it? Allow yourself to enjoy it, and move on. Make better choices for the rest of the day, make sure to drink your water, and know that now you've squashed that craving, so you don't have to worry about it any more for a while. Nobody's perfect, and there's no need to punish yourself over one choice. Every moment is a chance to start fresh, so take that chance now and run with it. And the next time you indulge, just shake it off and start fresh again. This isn't all or nothing. You haven't failed. You only fail if you stop trying, and you're not going to stop trying, right? :)

I agree with ajbeans - I love pizza, and it is the one thing I let myself go over on occasionally. I am still managing to make a weight loss - just try to make up for it in other ways (exercise, or cutting out something else). You shouldn't have to give up the things you love and you shouldn't have to feel guilty about it. Enjoy it when you do. Just don't do it too often and get back on track as soon as you can!
  • A) It's just today! You have time to improve every day!

    B) Take a 30-45 minute walk and help lessen the damage!

You didn't make any mistakes by having pizza...you wanted it, so you had it. The end. I too cannot stop at one piece, and really, I wouldn't want to. I LOVE pizza!! Like the previous post said, you 'squashed' that craving now you can move on and continue to stay on track!!

You feel guilty because you feel what you did wasn’t the best move. That’s half the battle, yeah? Now you know, just add that burn somewhere today, which I am sure you can, and that’s the other half!!

Remember the days when you thought (at least I did) eating a half a pizza was ok? Lol, Ahhh, NSV, NSV!! Celebrate them as encouragement. You’re now able to more quickly identify slip ups and correct them!

I also ate pizza for dinner, actually almost a half of a pizza, but totally not feeling guilty about it. I am still within my calorie limit ;)
I usually keep Dr Oetker thin crust pizza at home for the odd days when I feel tired/lazy/ run out of time to cook something. I totally recommend this to any pizza lover!

The whole pizza is 760 calorie, and I usually eat half of it of that and totally satisfied with it.
Plus it is waaay cheaper then any take out pizza, and actually very good. I usually buy the veggie, or the spinach, or the chicken/ spinach ones and my family loves it. Actually this pizza is the only form of spinach my toddler willing to eat ;D
Costco sells the spinach ones in set of 3 and very reasonably priced. I stock up from other ones when they go on sale. It is a must have in the freezer for quick supper that is a great hit for everybody and won't ruin your weight loss progress.

I eat the way I can see myself eating for the rest of my life, which includes pizza regular basis like once in every 2 weeks. We just have to find the kind of food that we like and acceptable calorie wise.

Definitely know the feeling :S The best thing about MFP food tracker is that everyday is fresh and a clean slate! I know it sucks right now but we all have days where we relax a bit and then we have days that we feel on top of the world! You are doing great and are allowed to treat yourself to pizza today!
