I have no knee or back problems, so what do you guys think is the better calorie burn? what is better for the per minute workout, and if you use both which do you find tires you out faster and which are you able to use for longer periods of time

Both are stationary, but the spin bike you get a better burn. The other one I find you can get to relaxed leaning back in the seat. Good luck.

I don't know if this is the case with all recumbent bikes, but my recumbent bike isn't the ideal for long cardio sessions. You end up using your quadriceps mostly, and not much of your other muscles. Unless you have very strong quadriceps, you get tired very fast before you can burn lots of calories.

Of course, by continuing to use it, you make your quadriceps stronger and you can last much longer on it... :)

I always push myself harder in a spin class.

I think it has more to do with how much you put into it. How tight you crank the resistance......just a thought.
