Been on here for a while, but could use some friends and motivation.

I have lost 20 pounds over the last 2 months. I still have close to 50 pounds to lose. I've had a tough 2 weeks and lost some motivation and will power. I made some poor food choices. My weight has been jumping around and then plateauing for a while. Looking to have some motivational friends who may also have some great health tips.
The beginning of my weight loss was boosted with the help of my naturopath, by doing a 5 week doctor supervised HCG low calorie diet. But now it's up to me to properly reintroduce certain foods back into my diet and keep maintaining/losing weight.
I am very pleased with my current weight loss but I still have a long way to go and it's a mental struggle to find the will power to keep with it.

I hear you on the motivation front @Kalysi17 ! I have tons of knowledge on many fronts but have struggled to keep it going in the past. I'm back on here because the BF declared last weekend he was fed up being over weight and asked if I was on to give it a bash. I've been wanting to do something so that was a good kick in the pants for me.

I'll add you and we can help each other out! What I'm doing is focusing on food mainly in these first few weeks back, tracking everything.

Also setting up a fairly simple set of basic meals and prepping a few days ahead - breakfast for me is eggs + veg (I really like green beans) but I think I'll start introducing in a green shake some mornings too and go between those. Lunch will be either soup or salad - I'm making a few days worth of soup, homemade - lots of veggies, spices and beans/lentils for protein, helps keep me fuller longer. For now my go to salad is light mozzarella, fresh spinach, cherry tomatoes, basil and orange with a splash of balsamic for flavour, I'll add more as I go but I'll probably stick to the same one for a couple of a weeks at a go so I don't have to keep making decisions......less decisions less chances to go wrong. And dinner = lean protein + veggies, chicken stir fry, roast chicken and veg, basa (fish) + veg.....you get the idea.

I love to cook so I can get seriously carried away (which means tasty but high calories) this way it's simple, I eat what's there and there's no crap in the house.

I'll be coming back to exercise, right now I'm sneaking in some pushups (counter top or knees, I'm not strong enough for full yet) and squats and I'll be adding to that.

And on mindset I've been journalling to get all the crap out of my head, using 750 words (membership site but not much, or penzu post is free). I'm also tapping, using faster EFT to release old emotional stuff I'm holding on to and some meditation.

all very normal!!!! The first few weeks we have that Excitement and Motivation and then its not as fun and then the loss slows at week 3-4 and we get frustrated and want to quit. But this is LIFE. If you want all these things for your life, we will have good days and not as good days, and we keep going!

    One day at a time!

I'm on day 5 of my VLCD on HCG and it is definitely a mental struggle. If we stick with it, though, the results will be worth it!

20lbs in 2months is a huge amount to lose, well done. You shouldn't expect to lose at that rate along your journey because that is what will make you give up. Support and be supported consistently by MFP friends and you will meet your goal, good luck
