Okay... I was looking at these trying to find the style of jeans I want to fit in so I can show my bf. I started off feeling motivated... thinking ya I'll look that good in clothes if I keep on doing what I'm doing... then I started thinking... my ultimate goal isn't low enough... then wondering if I could ever look at small as those gals...

What is your experience with these videos?:ohwell: :indifferent:   ??

maybe i wasn't looking at the same videos as you but from what i saw, those videos are all images of skeletal women or celebrities. its an unrealistic concept that most people don't have to worry about obtaining. unless your paycheck depends on how skinny you are, i wouldn't worry about comparing myself to any form of media what so ever.

Oh noooo.... please don't watch those videos as inspiration. Most of them are from "pro-ana" sites and people who promote anorexia. I think you need to evaluate what your ultimate goal is... and if it's better health, then becoming anorexic-looking thin is not your answer. These girls are mostly very unhealthy and are struggling with inner demons that will kill about 15% of them... a sad reality

I had no idea what 'thinspiration' was, so I looked it up. I'm sorry I did. Holy crap, I wasn't aware people could be that stupid. (Pardon, I do not mean to offend, but prettythin.com encourages you to starve yourself to the point of missing your period, and under no circumstances take your doctors advice!) WTH?! Yes, because its wise to listen to a 85lb, 20 year old girl who is obviously the picture of health and true beauty. Good grief.

I can't begin to express how angry and sad that makes me.
