Thigh fat

Any suggestions on exercises to tone thigh fat. I'm starting Jillian Michaels killer buns and tjighs, but it's kind of hard on my knees due to osteoarthritis in my knees. Any other suggestions

If you have access to a gym, and use the leg lift machine, if you place your feet wider apart in the middle of the platform, it works your inner thigh muscles. Or tie a resistance band around your knees and push out as much as you can. Be sure to drink plenty of water while working out to help with muscle fatigue and soreness the next day.

You cannot spot reduce. The weight will come off where it wants to.

To reduce overall body fat you don't need to exercise you only need to eat fewer calories than you expend. The good news is that losing a few pounds may actually help with your knees too and there is a considerable body of evidence that strength training can significantly improve the quality of life for arthritis sufferers.

I'm sorry everyone. I posted wrong. I meant to ask, what other exercises can I do to tone my thighs after fat loss?

Well tone is actually a fancy word for fat loss, lol. But if you want stronger thighs and/or a stronger lower body, I would recommend a solid structured lifting routine, like StrongCurves. It will provide you with the greatest opportunity to maintain your current muscle mass and even potentially gain a bit. This way, when you lose the top layer, your lower body will look better.

I have osteoarthritis in both knees as well as psoriatic arthritis.

My thighs are the first place I put on fat and the last place I'm losing it. I swear it's where my last 7 pounds are hiding :p

I hate them with every fiber of my being, but lunges are great.

I also run. Yes, even with bad arthritic knees, if you take your time and very slowly progress, you can run.

eh, except when someone like a massage therapist or the nurse at the blood-donor clinic comments on your muscle tone.

Lift while you lose weight so your legs look nice.

I have big thighs. Fat thighs. I've had them all my life. Even at my smallest, those puppies were fatty.

I personally enjoy weighted dead lifts, glute bridges and squats.

I've got big thighs so I understand. I've found that no matter what I'm always going to carry extra fat there. Best thing you can do is try to embrace it :)

Just keep losing weight and the fat will go away eventually. If you are at of very close to your goal weight, eat at maintenance and start a progressive lifting program.

OP, please consult with your orthopedic doctor and/or physio before you start doing weighted squats, DL, lounges or even running. If your knees AO is bone to bone, any of those exercises can make your situation worse, so they can recommend an exercise program for your condition. What is good for some people may not be good for others.
However, keep on moving (walking and bicycle are good options) and lose weight and that will help you to reach your goal.

Cycling, hiking, power walking - and of course some weight lifting work that won't hurt your knees.
