I love them, but once I started using this site, I realized most of the fruits I liked to eat are really sugary! List of best fruits to eat?
I eat strawberries pretty often...but I'm scared to eat something that's going to be full of sugar! Ideas? Thoughts?!
Always appreciated! :flowerforyou:

The sugar you get from fruit is good for you. Most people will tell you not to worry about it. Keep track of artifical sugars0

I don't think you should worry too much about the sugar content in the fruit. It is natural sugar and good for you. If you are eating mostly fruit and not other sugary items on top of that than you should be okay. Good luck-0

Noone gets fat on fruit..just limit bananas0

Fruits are also full of water. They're one of the healthiest foods you can eat. They fill you up, have essential nutrients and taste amazing. Don't worry about the sugar in them. Just as there are good and bad carbs, there is good and bad sugar.0

Its my understanding that the sugar in fruit is not bad for you. Its more of the refined sugars that are bad. Personally I don't worry about the sugar in fruit and try to stick with grabbing fruit instead of candy or chips if I am getting tthe munchies.0

Tropical fruits are high in sugar (bananas, mangos)... Berries are best...
But really, you shouldnt worry about it... It's like eggs: the yoke is good for you...
And chicken, thee thigh is really not that much higher in calories then the breast!!!
Don't make this too hard on you!
The main goal is to eat natural stuff!!!0 -

I track fruit two ways: 1) http://www.glycemicindex.com/ (go to the database) and 2) calories. Of course, do your own research but that's how I track it.0 -
do variety of fruit or combine them make a fruit salad without sugar0

I love bananas! But also very high in sugar. If your not counting carbs go for it. All berries are low in sugar. Cantaloupe, honeydew and believe it or not, watermelon. I love watermelon. I eat it sometimes for a light satisfying breakfast.0

Sweet Cherries are really good for you. If you have a hard time sleeping eat a handful before bed and they help you produce melatonin, which is what makes you sleep!0

http://www.amsa.org/healingthehealer/GlycemicIndex.pdf scroll down to page 4 and 5 for the fruit list, but there is some good info throughout
I try to focus on the low and medium group, and eat less of the high group....hope it helps0 -

If you are diabetic you do have to watch your fruit intake but not so much which fruits just how much at one time. All fruit is good for you. Everything in moderation.0
