Hey All
I am posting this because I am struggling to get back into my grove. I started out in January at 228 pounds and currently weigh 174. I want to get down to 145-150ish and hope to do it by October.. (when I move to Australia, YAY!) However I cant seem to get back into the swing of things prior to my Australian vacation last month. I am hoping posting will inspire me to work hard again and get to where i would like to be
This is me at 228.. i hove posted this before a while back, but its really the only pics I have from that weight as I tended to dodge taking any.. haha
This is me at 198
AND finally this is me on vacation in June at 170-175ish.. I gained a few pounds eating all the sweets! haha
I guess I am really looking for more friends on here for inspiration and really just hoping posting some pics will help me get my butt back in action! lol So thanks for helpin me out!!

you have done an incredible job, and you will get the motivation back, especially if you are moving down for someone you love0

Just do it! Get yourself back into a routine.....write it out on paper/here/where ever if it helps. I am just getting back into the swing of things after "coasting" while on my 2 week vacation. I posted on my wall what I had planned that way all of my MFP peeps will help to keep me accountable. Feel free to add me if you'd like!0

You look totally fabulous.
I am actually 35lbs total into my weight loss and would love some new friends to help keep me motivated as I am finding it much harder lately. Friend request coming your way.
Keep up the good work - you can do this!!0 -
Whatever you do, keep tracking. Whatever you do, don't gain any weight. If you never lose another pound, okay, but you don't want to gain any back!!! I first went to Weight Watchers and weighed in at 228 (9 years ago). I lost 42 lbs. Then I got pregnant, then I gained it back + 5 lbs. So I went to WW again, and did not stick with it. It works very well if you stick with it. Then I gained consistently for the next 5 years. At the beginning of this year, I weighed 258. It has taken me this long to get back to 228. I could just kill myself for gaining so much. Why didn't I just go into maintenance rather than quit all together?
Well, anyway, I'm back on track now, and I'm thinking of myself having turned back the clock. I have not been 228 lbs for the last 9 years. It feels GOOD! You are currently about the weight I was when I fell off the wagon the first time. Don't do it!!!0 -
You look great! Those pictures should encourage you to continue. Look how great you look. You can do this!!0
-
You look fantastic! Maybe try some new things? New exercise or sport you've always wanted to try? Change your carb/fat/protein levels? Try new foods? Hope you can find your groove back so you can reach your goal! Good luck!!0

Whoa! Keep going, and yes, definitely think about how good it felt to get into those nice clothes.
Look how cute you are in those jeans in Australia!0 -

that's amazing- you're doing great & I'm sure you'll get your groove back soon
very inspiring thanks0 -
I tend to run in to the same wall...yes, and last time that happened (roughly spring of last year) I gained HALF of what I lost back (40lbs)...and now I'm starting back at it, which has taken me more than 6 months to do. I think what it is is that you look GREAT and you feel great, so you start to lose motivation. Unfortunately you can't go back to your old lifestyle because the weight WILL come back. You have done SUCH a great job and in a fairly short amount of time! Don't let this little speed bump slow you down because that 5lbs will turn into 10 into 20, etc. etc. before you even know it and I can promise you, you don't want that to happen!!!!
Good luck!!!0 -
Don't give up! Don't let yourself down. You can do this!!! You lost so much weight already! Congrats and good luck!0

You can rebound from vacation. I just know it! You are looking so incredible and you deserve to meet your goals. Chin up and back in the game!!0

we can do this!!0 -
You can do it! Keep ypur goal at the top of your thoughts and keep reaching, your goal is attainable!0

I am sending you a friend request. Our journeys are almost exactly the same! I weighed 222 in January and now weigh 168 (loss of 54 pounds) and I am trying to hit 142 by my birthday on Nov.3. I recently started to feel a little less motivated and was worried that I was on a slippery slope. BUT, I decided that I had not worked this hard and come so far for nothing, so I reached deep inside and started to really increase my exercise. That made all the difference for me!! I feel great again and have seen success on the scale so that, in and of itself, is motivation enough to continue! This lifestyle we are choosing is hard sometimes, but that doesn't mean we quit. Its the "hard" that makes it sooooo worth it. : )0

Hi!!
First: You look FANTASTIC!!
Second: make a smaller goal to meet and the feeling of accomplishment from that small goal will get you back into your groove to keep chugging along! So maybe try entering all of your food and exercise for 2 weeks everyday here or incorporating exercise everyday even if it's a quick 30 min walk around the block.
Good Luck! You can do it!!0 -
You are looking marvelous, and remember............it doesn't matter how many times you fall off the wagon, it MATTERS how many times you get back on again. ;-)
This is copied from another thread, but seems so appropriate for your situation. Best of luck!
Only One Pound
Hello, do you know me?
If you don't, you should. I'm a pound of fat,
And I'm the HAPPIEST pound of fat that you would ever want to meet.
Want to know why?
It's because no one ever wants to lose me;
I'm ONLY ONE POUND, just a pound!
Everyone wants to lose three pounds, five pounds, or fifteen pounds, but never only one.
So I just stick around and happily keep you fat.
Then I add to myself, ever so slyly, so that you never seem to notice it.
That is, until I've grown to ten, twenty, thirty or even more pounds in weight.
Yes, it's fun being ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT, left to do as I please.
So, when you weigh in, keep right on saying, "Oh, I only lost one pound."
For you see, if you do this, you'll encourage others to keep me around because they'll think I'm not worth losing.
And, I love being around you - your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips and every part of you.
Happy Days!!!
After all, I'm ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT!!!

Wow, what a difference! I am new to this site but not trying to lose weight so I understand what you are going through. Maybe you should get some pretty post card material and write down the reasons why you want to lose weight to remind yoursel and keep it in your wallet or purse. I also put some colorful beachy themed stickers on them.
Another thing I did was purchased a pretty jar to sit on the kitchen counter and typed out reasons why I wanted to lose weight or how I would feel once the weight was lost or write down things that I would enjoy doing when I lost weight. It was kind of like a daily inspiration jar that I pulled from every day.
You look much more healthier! Keep up the good work!!0 -
Just bought me a new pair of workout shoes, Vibram Komodo Sport. I was so excited to try them out that I couldn't wait to leave work and get them on. Who knows, maybe a new pair of exciting workout shoes will get you back in the mood? Mix it up, do something new, do something fun. Don't lose your drive!0

You have done such an amazing job getting this 55lbs off, I know it's hard to jump back on after being on vacay and not worrying about it, I want you to look at those pictures LONG and HARD!! Do you want to go back to the 228 and how you looked/felt about yourself? Do you want to go out and buy clothes at the bigger size again? I am sure you said NO to all of it so pick yourself up, look in the mirror, smile and say I am going to do this NO MATTER WHAT, FOR ME!!!!! :-)0
