Coffee

What is it with those super grande extra whipped cream with full sugar coffee-flavored drinkable stuff ( basically any "coffee" with a name as long as that town in Wales) that every coffee place is selling? ( hot or frozen version)

Do you like the taste of coffee or not?
You know perfectly well , even though you won't admit it, that the amount of fat, sugar and calories contain in that ginormous tankard you need two hands to hold.
Once in a while, ok, treat yourself, but daily? Come on.

If you don't like the tast of coffee, just take "wake-up" pill. You'll have your caffein fix.

I drink my coffee black, same as i eat my chocolate. The darker the better, except for 99%, that's too much.

    OK.

I'm not sure if your problem is with frequent imbibing or people's flavor choices/preferences.

I don't like the taste of coffee, so when I do have it, I add stuff. I like to brew it with half Teeccino, and add sugar, milk or cream.

I'm primarily a tea drinker. Need much less sugar for tea.

No problem really. Just want to know why drink that stuff and then complaining ingurgiting too much cals.

If you need caffein , take pills, drink tea ( real tea, not spiced, sugared chiai stuff), drink mate. No cals there.

Just ranting on why not doing thing plain and simple.

I do this exact same thing (except every a.m.) with coffee too.. :)

But every once in a while I love good brewed flavored gourmet coffee especially with a yummy dessert.

I never complain when it comes to coffee, creamer and sweetening. Maybe the audience you are trying to reach has not made their way to your thread yet. I dunno..

I don't like coffee. I used to drink it because it became habit being in my work environment but I always had to use sweeteners and creamers, which just made me question why I was even drinking it. I do hot tea now.

But I love my Grande Salted Caramel Mocha (hot, iced, and frozen). :s:s:s

Luckily my favorite is only available for 2 months, if that, and, yes, I do indulge a few times in that time frame. Any other time if I want to treat myself it's a Grande Skinny Mocha (hot or iced) but 99% of the time it's just my coffee from home with my Splenda and no sugar creamer.

Can I start judging people's crappy beer choices next?

    Go for it.
I'll take the Whole milk > skim milk and rare steak is superior topics (ok, I'll allow medium-rare. anything past medium is a crime against food though)

    Rare steak... Mmmmm

The rarer the better but not to the point of tartare. That is an other categorie also mmmm.

You need the maillard reaction to enhance the taste.

I hate the taste of coffee. I'll get maybe 2-3 mochas (usually skinny, so skim milk and no whipped cream) a year from Starbucks, and that's if I'm at the grocery where they don't sell my frappucino. I drink diet soda for caffeine.

I like coffee and tea unsweetened, and dislike it with sugar so much that I can't understand how people can drink it that way -- but we all have our taste quirks and I'm sure I like stuff other people think is weird! I probably wouldn't drink coffee if I felt like I had to cover up the flavor, but then I do like coffee ice cream, and before I liked black coffee I liked coffee + milk (initially a lot of milk, back in college), so I think some who drink it that way probably do enjoy the flavor, just mixed with milk (or even sugar).

All this aside, I think the "Starbucks coffees are fru-fru" (and "what ARE those fancy coffees, just get a cuppa joe?") jokes were done to the death back in the '90s, no? I even hear it in a Seinfeld voice, although I don't recall him actually doing something like that.

I used to work next to a Starbucks. I was in there twice a day. Morning and afternoon. Got at least one latte a day. Usually it was my venti quad cinnamon dolce latte. Heaven in a cup!

I prefer my grande pumpkin spice frappicinos more than black coffee. Though it is cheaper. Everywhere sells these types of drinks because people are willing to buy them.
