Finally getting serious

I need to drop at least 71 pounds and I'm finally getting serious about it. I want to be under 200 lbs for the first time since 6th grade (I'm 27 now). No fad diets or anything I know I won't stick with. I'm going to sweat it off while staying mindful of what I'm putting in my mouth. I want to be fit, not skinny. Weighed 278 at the beginning of last month, took a 2 week vacation and yesterday weighed in at 270.4 (Dr office). I wasn't even trying to lose weight, it just happened. Now I want to be more focused on getting healthy. Could use some workout support/motivation buddies, any takers?

    I want to get fit and lose weight. my job is very very sedentary. I'm at a desk most of time so I joined FitnessPal to keep me on tracking with moving and eating right. Also have about 40 pound to lose and keep off.

    Good luck on your weight loss journey's everyone... I didn't gain the excess weight over night m, although at times it does feel like it, so I can't try to lose this weight overnight
