Do you consider a pre-workout drink "Cheating?"

I take half a scoop of "Superpump" before I workout for an extra kick, is this considered cheating? Do any of y'all drink a pre-workout drink?

When I was doing Insanity I was drinking Jack3d before my work outs. No it is not considered cheating.

Oh... I thought we were talking about wine. Because I definitely had a glass of red wine before my workout tonight. I don't think it was cheating at all! ;-)

I don't think it is. I normally try to drink Vega Sport. It helps greatly for my workouts!

I would say no too. My trainer gives me something on occasion too. It is a powder I mix with water but I never remember what it is called.

I wouldn't consider it cheating. Drinking something expecting it to jack your metabolism while sitting on the couch watching TV would be cheating in my mind.

Yeah never heard of anyone saying a preworkout supplement/shake/drink is cheating so you should be safe.

:blushing: couldn't resist, had to go read your profile...

just as I suspected, you are a former "drinker" :drinker:

turned drinker:laugh: I don't think that any indulgence (within reason) would be a cheat before a workout!

our bodies have the need for fuel, the only question I would have is with regard to the timing of said drink..

for example, when I have carbs before my workout I wait at least 15 minutes before I start:happy:

wishing you the best in all of your endeavors~

welcome to MFP:glasses:   ENJOY!
