Take a deep breath and chill

Here's the deal: Last week I hit my goal weight. I was happy. I celebrated. Hard. +1 lb hard. I'm ok with it, though. No, seriously. Here's why...
I know all of you like to see the scale drop (sometimes preferably from a very tall building, but I digress). I have seen many posts with people worrying about gaining a little weight back, and worrying that it will be their downfall. But fear not, for I have some truth! All that weight you have lost is not hiding under your bed, waiting for you to take a bite of a McD's burger to run out and ambush you. Don't believe me? Go check under your bed, I'll wait.
...
...
Welcome back. See, no weight. Though you might want to do something about those dust bunnies.
The point is that you have made a lifestyle change. You are going to slip up. Nobody is perfetc. (<-- English major joke). But you are on the right path now. Don't beat yourself up for having a bad moment/day/week/ whatever. Just dig your heels in, stop the backslide and start making that scale go the right way again.
I guess my point is, if you see the scale move the wrong way DON'T PANIC and always bring a towel (cool points to those who get the reference).

Yep, I agree. I instinctively put myself in maintence mode a couple weeks ago when I found out I was going to be having surgery. Now that it's done & over with, I'm going to get right back on the wagon soon as I feel as if I'm able to without overdoing it & undoing what we hope just fixed the problem. Great post! I totally agree!0

You win some extra advice... If a man with a prolific talking parrot on his shoulder ever asks you to go check out his spaceship, go for it and don't worry about taking your purse with you! I mean, it is improbable it will ever happen, but...
Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's probably just the Man from Milwaukee. I'd only be worried if he's running around in his underwear.0
