They are good in overnight oats! Not sure what else, but I'm following this post!

Oatmeal (both hot and cold), mixed into yogurt, chia seed pudding. Some people like them to sit in their water and drink them. I like the texture they bring, but they get stuck in my teeth so I don't like to constantly sip water with them mixed in. People also like to add them to smoothies (I am just not a big smoothie drinker, but I do sometimes add them to protein powder)

If you like a Tampico pudding pudding texture you can soak them overnight in iced coffee and est then with a spoon in the morning. You get your coffee and your Chia into he am!

They're best when they're bloomed, meaning you need to soak them in water, usually 4 times the amount of water as seeds. They are a source of protein and fibre, as well as omega 3 fatty acids. They thicken up puddings, or you can make jam from them, thicken smoothies, etc. They're not great to eat just like that, because they can be dehydrating, as they soak up water. I teach a lot of raw food classes where we use them in desserts and smoothies. They're yummy :)

Good information, I never knew that about them. I just threw them in my protein shakes and smoothies in the past because of their nutritional value - they tasted surprisingly good.

I sprinkle them on my salad along with other nuts and seeds. Then I spend about 5 minutes with a toothpick cleaning my teeth afterwards :)

I've tried them in a bunch of pudding recipes and smoothies, but for some reason I just can't appreciate them in sweet foods.

I like putting them in savory things like stews, soups, and chili. They're useful to thicken up a sauce or just as an innocuous way to add fiber and omega-3's.

You can use them as an egg substitute... and hence... chia waffles.

At present I am staring at a glass jar of chia porridge (very lovingly) and getting ready to have it as my breakfast:
3 Tbsp of organic chia seeds
1-1/4 Cups of Unsweetened Almond Milk
    1/2 Cup Water
    2 Tbsp peanut butter powder
    Pinch of Cinnamon
2 Tbsp Sugar Free Maple Syrup
Combine all ingredients in a glass jar and shake well to combine all ingredients. Leave in refrigerator overnight.
    You're Welcome!! - jk - Lol :)

I view them as oatmeal on steroids. Once soaked they are little bundles of soluble fiber. So I add a tablespoon to my oatmeal.

I add them to lots of things: cookies, pancakes/waffles, muffins, cooked oatmeal porridge, my homemade muesli and granola recipes, my husband mixes them with yogurt and fruit plus protein powder every day for his breakfast (he's super-fit and active).

I don't make chia the stars of my baking, but I always sprinkle in quite a bit. I also use hemp hearts aside them in all of the above to boost protein levels. It takes a while to get used to cooking with chia - soak them first and add extra liquid as required.

We buy big bags at Costco and go through them pretty quickly.
