    Anytime Fitness is the best chain I've ever dealt with.

    Oh I joined lifetime fitness and left golds gym it has more options like basketball court , pool, rock climbing and steam room and it's open 24 hrs.

    Geography is key. If it's not convenient, it's too easy to miss a workout.

    Depends on where you live. I would say the best is the one that offers more of what you like/need in your fitness regimen.

    It really depends... if you just do cardio, you can join any gym (aka Planet Fitness). If you have muscle building goals, look for gyms with lots of free weights and squat racks. I had 2 memberships for a long time, but wound up at the YMCA because they have a pool, "enough" free weights and the price is right
