Another newbie! Losing weight for my wedding!!

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to introduce myself...
I'm from Yorkshire, and started running just over a month ago. So far, it's going really well, although I think if I'm gonna get maximum results, then I need to pair healthy eating with the exercise I do.
I weigh 11 and a half stone, and up until recently I was happy to eat as much chocolate as I could get my hands on. My favourite meals include fajitas and pizzas! In other words, all the wrong things! My goal is to lose a little weight gradually over the next year, as I'll be getting married in August 2012. I'm not looking to completely cut out my favourite foods, but to cut out snacking, and to make sure that the choc/ pizza is saved for special treats.
I've never really attempted a diet before, and have very little will power (although I did successfully quit smoking last January without any extra help!), so it's not going to be easy and could do with a few online friends in similar positions for mutual support!

Thanks for all your replies - how lovely! I think the concept of having to record everything I eat will definitely be a dissuasion in terms of snacking - I just went to get a Blue Riband... but knowing that I'd have to record it, I opted for an apple instead - success number 1?!

That's great definately success number 1 if you ask me - well done )0
