Insanity Max 30?

Hi all! Has anyone done this program? My husband is doing it and it looks brutal, but I've just finished a strength program of 3 months and really enjoyed following a daily program. I'm considering trying this insanity, because my husband looks completely tortured while doing these workouts but is completely sold on them and goes on and on about how good it feels.
The other thing I'm not sure about it what I'd record for the calorie burn for something like this. My husband doesn't count calories (and is at a healthy weight and stays fit, grr!), but he says he's hungrier doing this. Anyone know what formula I should use to calculate burn for 30 minutes of high intensity, high insanity, everything training? All advice welcome.

You can buy the DVDs or get the streaming subscription. It's as hardcore as it looks, from what I can see watching my husband. He has been a runner for many years and in the past few years has done some at-home body weight cardio and strength videos from the fitness blender website (which are free). This Insanity Max 30, he says, has made him push himself in a way he never would. I'm not sure if I'm cut out for it, but he swears by it. He says the hardest part is listening to the front man, Shawn T, but he says it's with it and his body is totally transforming (he's finishing week 5 or 8).0

Maybe track it as Circuit Training?0

I've done it and it's awesome. I'm not sure I would substitute it straight up for a strength program, but it will deliver from a cardio standpoint.
Like any workout it's difficult to calculate calories burned as level of intensity plays a big role. I get my burn using a chest strap HRM. They're pretty cheap these days. Good luck!0 -
Log it as circuit training. I love this program. Remember to keep the abs engaged and Full range of motion with everything!0
