How do you find out calories in "homemade/generic" items? Are there any good sites out there?

What would you be looking for?
Usually something homemade I just add the calories for the ingredients.
If its something that I make regularly I may create a item on the database rather then input all the time the same quantities and ingredients.0 -

Use the receipe builder under the food tab right here on MFP........0

If i have made it at home I input the recipe in the recipe section and then I divide it by the number of servings it made.0

I love the recipe builder for dinners I make. I can input all the different calories of a casserole for example and figure out the calories per serving. If you're still unsure of something, giving it a rough estimate is better than nothing at all. Maybe you go out to a little bake shop and have a cupcake, just make a good estimate using that you see in the data base. Not that I've ever done that before.....0
