I am 9 months out from having my daughter and really was struggling to lose weight. Too busy to exercise and struggling to get over that mindset "I'm pregnant I can eat what I want"! I got afforded this wonderful opportunity through my job and Independent Health to go to a fitness camp(think Biggest Loser but not so competitive). I just got back from spending a week there at Beaver Hollow Fitness Camp. We ate a 1300 calorie diet, exercised about 7 hours a day and attended lectures on nutrition and healthy food preparation. I am down 3 pounds and 4 inches after 1 week and most importantly I have the jumpstart I need to eat better and get moving and not just lose some weight but become "Healthy" mind, body and spirit. Used MFP for a bit before this but quit, now I am back using it and it is helping a ton.

That sounds awesome! I wish everyone could have an opportunity like that! After all, we all deserve to be healthy right? Maybe I need to commit a week at home to getting back on track. Hmmm, I could clean out the cupboards and clear my schedule and commit to working my buns off for a week and see if some of those habits stick. I've been "off the wagon" for a week now and am having a hard time getting back on, so maybe my own 'spa/fitness' week would be beneficial. Gee, thanks for the inspiration! And good luck!

Yeah obviously you can't work out like that all the time but it is meant to kind of give you a kickstart and the real gift of it for me was having a week apart from all my responsibilities of work, mothering, being a wife and doing ministry at church to just focus on my health and wellness. It is very hard to get that and I was grateful for it and now I'm glad to be back and trying to integrate it into REAL LIFE.
