Hello all, my name is Key. I'm new to fitness pal, and am on day 2. I am hoping I can stay with this. My goal is to lose 30lbs. I am a working professional in the insurance industry and mother to a nearly 2 year old boy.

Hey Key, I'm Marsha. I've been on here for a while now. I lost 25 lbs last year and have gained about 8 lbs back. It is so hard to get back on track. Maybe we can motivate each other I'll send you a friend request. I have teenagers so I have a pretty busy schedule. They don't play sports just getting them to and from school, making sure homework is done. I want to lose about 20 lbs which I'll still be overweight but that's my goal for now.

    Hi Marsha,

Congrats on losing weight! I'm trying to get back on track myself. At one point I had made it down to 148 and then got pregnant and was a 155 which wasn't bad and then turned around and was 187 out of no where due to hormones, lifestyle changes, ect. What did you do to lose the weight the first time?

    Hi Key
I'm Vada. I have been here for a while and have lost 30 pounds on Weight Watchers. It has been a slow process but I am in it for the long haul. I am hoping to lose 30 more which would put in at a healthy BMI. I would love to be friends so that we can keep each other motivated.

I cut carbs, no bread, rice, or potatoes. If you just love those foods you may find it hard but I didn't even miss it. I try to stay below 100 g of carbs. I've tried no carbs before & that definitely didn't work. My problem I'm gradually adding back carbs (bread and cereal). I'll eat my meat rolled around string cheese or on lettuce. I'll get my sweet fix on Atkins bars. I eat 6 small meals a day. I'm eating every 2 to 3 hours, so I've been told it keeps you blood sugar dropping. I do eat rice and pasta just very little. I want one of those veggie gadgets that will make spaghetti noodles out of zucchini or other veggies. Oh I almost forgot I drink half my body weight in ounces of water. I know that's a lot but that was so helpful when I lost my weight. Now let me get back to all of this myself, much easier said than done.
