I was just diagnosed with elbow and shoulder tendinitis. I'm so upset as I was planning on start a bulk coming Nov 1. I'm also planning to compete again in March. Now I have to stay way from upper body lifting and do PT. Anyone has any experience?

I am dealing with Achilles tendinitis right now. Fortunately it is not affecting my lifting. I just can't wear heels, which is an annoyance.

Not tendinitis specifically (and not a body builder), but I have had injuries interfere with training plans and races and other events...comes with the territory.

I just finished up with 8 weeks of PT for a pinched nerve in my neck for which I missed most of my Time Trial races and a bunch of other cycling events...while I'm not in pain, I'm still healing so I won't be 100% until probably sometime around New Year...just comes with the territory.

I've got elbow tendinitis (not a bb) mine is from tricep to elbow. Doesn't hurt to pull but anything pushing hurts, been like this for 5 years. I'm beginning to think it will not heal completely without surgery. Hope PT works for you.

Just got a cortizone shot two weeks ago to get Passed shoulder issue elbow tendinitis is something I have lived with for decades -I use Ice to treat it.

Not a bodybuilder per se, but love my lifting

Bilateral tendonitis...took 6-8 months to clear until I was cleared to start lifting, some recurrent issues with left elbow that I generally keep strapped but masseur finds an issue with shoulder so may be referred

Rest listen to physio, wear the straps, do the stretches, don't lift cos you wanna

And glory in months of leg days

I have glutes and hamstrings of steel

I haven't had elbow tendonitis but I started lifting again and I got tendonitis of my thumb. I couldn't grasp or hold anything and had to wear a brace for almost 2 weeks and take anti-inflammatory OTC medicine. It is doing better but I wear my brace while lifting to support it just in case it starts bothering me again.

Does it limit your training ?

Yea i definitely like the having glutes and hamstrings of steel but I have to work my upper body too as I'm stepping on stage again in March. This is why I'm so upset
