Looking for a workout buddy?!

Just moved to the Triangle area of NC. Trying to get back in shape. I know I do better with someone pushing me to not slack or give up, but I don't know many people in the area.

    Hey Beth, What kind of workout buddy do you want? I need someone to push me as well, but my workout consist of walking only. I've tried high intense cardio but I never stick with it so if I'm not planning to do it the rest of my life I'm not going to start. I do love a good walking workout, see how fast I can walk a mile. I need some kind of accountability. I haven't done anything in a couple of weeks. We can become MFP friends and post daily on each others page ' like what activity are you doing today ' or ' how's things going' etc.

    I used to work out all the time, but walking is about all I can do at the moment. An old ankle injury has started to get very bad. My thought is that it has gotten worse because I have gained weight, and if I can loose enough to take some pressure off then I might be able to work out harder, or even go running. I live in Cary and my apartment has a gym and is right next to a bike/walking trail. I would love to have someone that was expecting me to be at there (workout location) at a set time. If someone else was expecting me I could procrastinate or flake out

    I think you may can go somewhere here on MFP and find people in your area. I did it once but I'm in such a rural area in VA that the closest person was 30 miles away. I wish I did live near you or a gym as far as that goes. I will post on your page daily to see how you are doing hope we can motivate each other.
