Needlessly strict calorie restricting like a sub-1000 calorie diet is more likely to leave you with health issues due to lack of nutrition, but more importantly it's more likely to leave you feeling irritable, insatiated and unhappy. You're more likely to get frustrated, give up, binge and quit than if you go for something more moderate.

From someone who has lost over 110lbs in the past year: doing a sub-1000 calorie diet is absolutely not the way to go.

Just leaving this article on Gallstones, which indicates rapid weight loss as one causative factor:

You absolutely do not need to go that low. It will just make you struggle all the more. I started out with around the same amount to lose, and lose really well on 1500-1600 a day, minimum.

As tempting as it is to restrict your body from eating a lot of food every day, it's really not a viable option.
Going into a calorie deficit at such an extent would shock your body and cause it to hold onto whatever food you consume - and when you reach your goal weight and consume more calories the weight will come right back.
I tried to log a day where I was sitting in 900 calories, and the app wouldn't let me until I was over 1000; something that kind of opened my eyes to what "healthy" really means.

Slow and steady wins the race!

Add me as a friend for motivation and someone to keep you accountable xx

Bad bad bad idea... you need to learn how to eat a reasonable amount of food to regulate your weight, not restrict a crazy amount which will probably lead to bingeing and yo yo dieting
