Would LOVE to be a writer, terrified to attempt it even though lots of people have told me I should.
But really, just to work for myself, make my own hours.... not have to worry about leaving my house! That is my dream.....

My dream job would be a writer also, I have a 55,000 word novel that I am almost finished editing and will try to get it picked up. I write everyday but my job is a draftsman drawing blueprints all day.

So what's holding each of you back from obtaining your dream job.

...because a cake taster won't help me lose weight

I already do my ideal job: Ballroom Dance Instructing but it doesnt pay all the bills so im stuck working in an office all day. This economy is just not stable enough for leisurely jobs. :( If only people saw the benefits it can do to your life. Investsments.

Chef, party/wedding planner, or makeup artist.

What's holding me back from pursuing these? Bills.

I already sort of do it in my spare time... it would be great to make it a career.

I also want to become a Zumba Instructor or possibly a certified fitness instructor.

I'd get paid to dress up, eat out, attend parties and balls, shop, and sip drinks poolside. And travel.

I'd be a hairdresser in an edgy salon for about 10 or 15 hours a week.
Then I'd also work at the costume shop down the street from my house just for fun 10 or 15 hours a week.
Then I'd also have an Etsy shop where I sell plants and seeds...and another one where I'd sell fabulous handmade clothing and accessories.

    Whats stopping me?

I'm having trouble getting a loan for cosmetology school so I don't know how I'm going to get the $5,000 I need. :(
I would be too broke if I worked at the costume shop unless I had other endeavors going on at the same time.
My boyfriends stupid dog keeps digging up all my plants and ruining everything. Hate him. Hope he dies of old age soon.
And I don't know how to work my sewing machines. I need someone to teach me, but I never seem to be able to find time. Or anyone to teach me...

=/ Wow. All of that really just reminded me what an unhappy loser I am...I'm pretty far from my dreams...

from the day I started talking my mom said I always said I wanted to be a lawyer, then when I applied to college, I applied to the education school because I wanted to be a middle school math teacher.
while I think both of these are cool and I think I would be awesome at both jobs, I think now I would love to be a chef.

I would own a bookstore, with a cute little tea shop in the corner...unfortunetly book stores aren't in high demand now that you can buy them online...or I"d open a day spa...oh yeah, I can't wait until semi-retirement, I'm going to be my own boss!

what's stopping me? Bills...I have a very good job right now doing Safety Admin for the oil patch...and things I want to buy, like a house, and a dog and my wedding...so until then I'll keep plugging along, and dreaming of a more interesting job than the painfully boring one I have now
