edited September 29 in Introduce Yourself
I'm new to the MFP so I wanted to introduce myself. Some friends at work suggested I try out this site and I'm glad I did. I'm a 40 year old dad of 1 and for the last 15 years, I've been over weight (220+ lbs) at 5'5.

Since November of last year I started P90x and ran with it for 2 months with great results but got bored with working out alone I joined a self defense class and added a boot camp fitness class with it. I lost 30lbs but I'm stuck at 190lbs. Happy to say most of the weight is now muscle but I can't seem to get to my desired weight of 180lbs. I'm hoping for some suggestions and ideas.

In the past I've tried diets but as always I can never keep the weight off. I decided this time to make a life style change instead of a temporary diet which seems to be what works. Well I'm sure I'll be around on the message boards with questions and I hope to make some new friends. See you all out there.

Jim

Well, welcome to the site. I hope that you have success. I found that the support here is like no other. I hope that you have the same experience. I hope that one day I will have enough stamina, and be able to get my OA in my knee settled enough to do the P90X. It sounds like alot of people have really good results with it. If you need friends, feel free to add me. I'll be glad to shove you along.

i am new too just started Sunday. I have done the weight watchers but it is so hard to keep up with the new points system and i gained weight on it! my daughter introduced me to myfitness pal. i love that all food caloric content is readily available. Plus I can do it on my mobile phone as well.
