Hey everyone,

I've recently been following the21 day fix meal plan, have been having some good success with it, alas (rifle) deer season is almost upon us here in Ontario. Any good food ideas to take out in the bush with you? In years past there have been a lot of bagels, sandwhiches, and halloween candy - I want to be prepared so I don't ruin my progress!

Thanks!!

Try the sandwiches wrapped in lettuce. Half a bagel with peanut butter and banana or Apple.

the 21 day fix meal program is pretty clear what amounts of protein, carbs, fats, additional fruits, you can have each day..

Can you take for example the amount of protein you are allowed to have and come up with portable protein like beef jerky, meat rolls ups (turkey, chicken, and cheese), perhaps just make a sandwich that includes is one of your carbs with a protein. take apples, pears, etc. as your fruits you are allowed or pack a small baggies that have your fruits, sandwiches, nuts/seeds, perhaps use one fat for peanut butter and celery or peanut butter & graham cracker or cheese crackers..

I think the idea is to stay within your amounts but get a little creative..

How many days are you hunting? one or two? or a whole week? one day won't wreck anything.

But, the poster above has good ideas. Depending on the amounts you're supposed to eat, I take a lot of seed/nut mixes into the woods and fruit (either whole or dried). The nuts & seeds are very satiating and the fruit is a nice sweet energy boost.
